Iran Rejects Claim of Contacts With Zionists

TEHRAN Iranian Foreign Ministry officials called a sheer lie a story carried by the German news agency DPA on Iran's mediation for release of Hizbollah members in detention of Israel. The officials said that it is not even worth denying.
DPA on Monday quoting an Iranian official in Iran's delegation to Qatar said that Iran will welcome any mediation for the release of members of the Lebanese Muslim group Hizbollah from Israeli detention.
In the meantime, an informed source at the Foreign Ministry on Monday strongly rejected the claim by certain Arabic print media that Iran had contacted the Zionist regime of Israel.
The source said that at a time when extensive efforts have been made by Muslim countries to sever ties with the Zionist regime and Iran conditioned its participation in the OIC Summit on Qatar's severance of ties with Israel, it is surprising to see certain sections of the press quoting Zionist sources as raising such unfounded claims against Iran.
